Our mindful mission as a family,
is to plant at least as many trees as we have removed throughout a season.
Whether a tree must be removed due to disease or hazard, we are teaching our children how to replenish any green lost in our community and why it matters..
Diversity
By planting one tree for those removed each year, we aim to strengthen the green canopy we love by adding diversity to it. Through these efforts, the urban forest can better withstand pests, support wildlife, adapt to shifting climate and overall maintain strength in its wilderness.
Where?
We have been working on reforesting our wooded acreage in the RM of Tache, as our area like so many, have lost countless old giants to Emerald Ash Borer and Dutch Elm Disease.
